LA Gordon Carpentry & Building Services has carried out a variety of carpentry and building projects in and around London. Here are just a few examples which include joinery and glazing work as shown in the conservatory built for a client in East London, and the North West London summer house comprising a concrete block construction, finished externally with cedar wood ship-lap cladding. Also fitted with a front-facing solar panel providing enough energy to power an air extraction fan - helping to keep the interior fresh on those warm sunny days...
Also shown are three pictures presenting the key progressive stages of a staircase and balustrade renovation. The works envolved paint stripping of the stair treads and risers after which all remaining parts including spindels, newal posts and hand rails) were replaced with new. All parts were were then stained and varnished to finish.
Other pictures show decking fitted in a rear garden, laid across two levels, with the lower level angled for creative effect. And a concrete/block front drive which was reinforced with steel rods to give addition strength thus limiting movement or fracturing over time.
The slideshow to the right gives an overview of a project undertaken to complete the interior of an extension to a house in North London after the main structure was built. The work envolved fixing plasterboard to the ceilng joists and sky light sections, fitting the patio door unit, applying sand and cement render, finish plastering to the walls and ceiling, sharp sand screeding the sub-floor area, painting and decorating, and laying solid wood flooring.
